Compassionate, personalized online counselling for anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship challenges, children and families, substance use, and life’s difficult transitions.
Based in Chilliwack, BC, Dr. Nilsana Charkhande provides secure virtual counselling to clients across Canada, helping you access professional support from wherever you feel most comfortable.
Life can feel overwhelming. You may be navigating trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, experiencing challenges in your relationships, supporting a child through a difficult time, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself.
Counselling offers a supportive space to slow down, understand what you’re experiencing, and begin creating meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and personalized, combining evidence-based therapeutic methods with holistic approaches that consider the connection between mind, body, and emotional wellbeing.
Through virtual counselling, you can access support from the privacy and comfort of your own space. Whether you’re in Chilliwack or elsewhere in Canada, we’ll work together to understand what’s getting in the way, develop practical tools, and support lasting growth.
You don’t have to navigate it alone.
Children and Families
Children, teens, parents, and families can all experience periods of stress, conflict, or emotional difficulty. Counselling provides a supportive environment to strengthen communication, understand behaviour, and build healthier family connections.
Relationships
Feeling disconnected, stuck in conflict, or unsure how to move forward? Whether you’re navigating communication challenges, broken trust, or parenting differences, therapy can help you and your partner rebuild understanding, intimacy, and connection.
Trauma and PTSD
The impact of trauma can linger long after the event. If you feel stuck in the past, overwhelmed by memories, or emotionally shut down, therapy offers a path toward healing—helping you reclaim safety, rebuild trust, and reconnect with your life.
I’m Dr. Nilsana Charkhande, a Chilliwack-based Registered Clinical Counsellor, supervisor, and advocate for holistic mental health with over 15 years of clinical experience. I help individuals and families navigate life’s emotional challenges through a thoughtful blend of science and spirit.
I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical and Child Development Psychology and offer therapy in English and Farsi.
My approach is integrative and personalized, combining evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, EMDR, and clinical hypnosis with holistic, spiritual practices such as Reiki and mindfulness. I specialize in helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, and relationship issues. I also work with families—including adoptive and foster families—creating a supportive space for healing and reconnection.
No two clients are the same—and neither is my approach to therapy. I draw from a wide range of evidence-based and holistic modalities to support your unique needs, goals, and values. Whether you’re looking for practical tools, deep emotional healing, or a space to reconnect with yourself, we’ll work together to find the path that fits best.
